Ecuador To Host 2010 Latin American Ports Summit

AAPA’s XIX Congress of Latin American Ports in Manta, July 6-9

The Manta Port Authority (APM), in partnership with the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA), is finalizing organizational details of the XIX Congress of Latin American Ports, to be held July 6-9, in Manta, Ecuador.  The focus of this year's ports summit will be on the interrelationship between American, European and Asian ports in the face of new development possibilities.

The business agenda for the Latin American ports congress - featuring seaport directors and industry experts throughout the Americas - will be accompanied by a busy social program.  Conference activities include a reception hosted by the APM, a typical Mantanese festival on the beach, and opportunities to visit key sites around the region, such the Galapagos-one of the major tourist and scientific attractions of the world.

Congress speakers include (in order of appearance):

With its strategic location, timely topics and slate of international port industry experts, the "Summit of Manta" promises to be the Latin American port event of 2010.
