To kick off the 108th Annual Convention and Expo of the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) … the unified and recognized voice of seaports in the Americas … convention host The Port of Virginia, on Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, will provide registrants with a narrated harbor cruise aboard the Carrie B, an authentic replica of a 19th century paddle-wheeler.
The boat tour will provide 360-degree views of the Norfolk Harbor – one of the deepest and widest natural harbors in the world. Participants will see maritime commerce in action as they pass three of The Port of Virginia’s current terminals … the Naval Shipyard, coal piers, as well as the future Craney Island Marine Terminal.
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs) is among the convention’s sponsors who are excited to participate in the annual conference and show off The Port of Virginia’s many amenities.
