Miami-Dade County is soliciting interested contractors to register to participate and perform in Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Bids under the MCC 7040 & 7360 Plan projects.

Contractual Opportunities are continuously available for all businesses located in Miami-Dade who are interested in doing business with the County.

The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. All capital departments are participating.

Additional opportunities are available through Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors.

License Requirements - At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and Contract Documents, the Bidder and all its subcontractor must hold a valid, current, and active State and/or Miami-Dade County contractor’s license consistent with the requirements of the Scope of Work.

RPQ No: M2019-018 - Roof Maintenance Services - Portwide

ESTIMATED COST: $1,415,910.00

LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Roofing Contractor

SCOPE OF WORK: 

The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, and all other items for roofing replacement and repairs; miscellaneous sealing, patching, caulking, and painting; roof cleaning, testing and inspecting; and installation, retrofit, and repairs of roof drains and vents. The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the applicable section(s) of the Florida Building Code, the latest edition of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) Roofing and Waterproofing Manual, and PortMiami Design Guidelines

This is a Non-Exclusive, Not to Exceed, Work Order Contract based on unit prices provided in this bid. Tasks will be authorized on a work order basis. The Contractor is not guaranteed the entire contract amount, any unspent funds will remain with the County, and the Contractor is not guaranteed work volume.

Clarification for utilization of the unit prices and issuance of work orders: 

  1. The quantities listed in the Bid Form (bidding model) are estimates only, which are provided by the County (PortMiami) solely for the purpose of providing a competitive basis for comparing the cumulative effect of the unit prices submitted by multiple contractors to establish the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Although these quantities represent PortMiami’s best estimate of need for the next twelve (12) months, actual quantities assigned via the work order process, may vary significantly based on field conditions.
  2. All work will be issued to and billed by the Contractor based on assigned work orders. Payment against said work orders shall be based on the quantities of actual work performed at the unit price for the line item(s) listed in the Contractor’s bid form.
  3. Quantities for specific line items as represented on the Contractor’s bid form may be over utilized, underutilized, or possibly not used at all, with no effect on the value of any unit price, (no additional compensation to the Contractor).
