2011 Climate Change Workshop

January 27, 2011
Kemah, TX

This one-day workshop focused on how port authorities can prepare to adapt to the effects of climate change. Speakers addressed the federal, state and local perspective on adapting port facilities - including dredging projects and channel maintenance, as well as surface transportation projects - to changes such as sea level rise and increased weather events. Other representatives discussed some of the information available to port authorities, such as planning guides and data analysis, and the European perspective on climate change adaptation.
