AAPA and the U.S. Maritime Administration co-sponsor this special one and a half day workshop, hosted by the Tampa Port Authority. The program addresses shifting international trade routes and how the various players in the transportation industry view the fallout of the recent economic recession. Speakers address the international economic outlook and shifts in global trade; discuss infrastructure needs from the perspective of cargo owners, ocean carriers, ports, terminal operators, warehouse and distribution centers, and rail interests; the significant changes in worldwide trade lanes expected in the next few years; and provide an update on the project to expand the Panama Canal.
