Shall provide a liaison between ports and federal government agencies in the preparation and dissemination of information or plans and procedures governing the operations of ports during emergency mobilization or wartime; shall foster dialogue with appropriate defense agencies regarding on-going military reliance on ports; and shall propose policy action to the U.S. Legislative Policy Council as appropriate, and, at the request of the U.S. Legislative Policy Council or the Chairman of the Board, shall represent the Association before entities concerned with legislation, regulations or standards.
