In addition to its 2020 Annual Convention and Expo and its 2020 Latin American Congress of Ports events, the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA)— the unified and recognized voice of seaports in the Americas—has slated eight maritime industry training seminars and conferences for 2020. These include the popular Shifting Trade workshop in Tampa, FL (Jan. 29-30); the information technology-focused Smart Ports seminar in Los Angeles (Feb. 5-6); the association’s annual Spring Conference in Washington, DC (March 17-19); the biennial Finance Seminar, in partnership with SAP Concur in Seattle (April 15-16); the port leadership-focused Commissioners and Governing Boards Seminar in New York City (May 6-7); the Marine Terminal Management Training event in Miami (May 18-22); the three-day Port Security Seminar and Expo in San Diego (July 15-17); and the widely-attended Energy & Environment seminar in New Orleans (Oct. 28-29), with separate tracks for those who plan, monitor and administer energy and environment activities, and for those responsible for marketing and communicating information about them to port audiences.
As for its two largest-attended meetings, AAPA’s 2020 Annual Convention and Expo will take place in Quebec City, Canada, Sept. 13-16, and its 2020 Latin American Congress of Ports will be held in Cartagena, Colombia, for three days during the week of Nov. 16-20 (hotel and precise days to be announced).
Further information about the 2020 AAPA workshops, seminars and conferences is now available on the AAPA website. Additional topic-specific events may be added to the AAPA website during the year which don’t appear below.
