FAST Act

Congress provided $11 billion in new money for freight and policy and industry recommendations based on AAPA’s State of Freight report.

Overall was $6.3 billion in freight formula funding will help states develop comprehensive state freight plans that include port authorities. Additionally, $4.5 billion in funding for the discretionary grant program for nationally and regionally significant freight and highway projects, $500 million of which is for multimodal projects, will provide the resources for larger corridor projects.
