2020 National Maritime Day 'Sound Off' Initiative

The annual National Maritime Day tribute offers a unique opportunity to raise public awareness of the value of mariners, the maritime industry, ports and the port workforce by encouraging vessels in harbors and at berth to sound their horns or whistles four times at noon each day between May 18 and May 22.  AAPA's 'Sound Off for National Maritime Day' initiative is a way to foster greater community awareness and appreciation of seaports and the maritime industry as they work 24/7 to move the goods we all need, want and enjoy.
