2008 Climate Change Workshop

November 12, 2008
Houston, TX

Climate change is an issue that is gaining attention among lawmakers, citizens and organizations around the globe, but what does it mean for port authorities? This one-day workshop discussed climate change in the context of ports, including the impacts of climate change on port facilities and navigation channels. The workshop also included an outlook on the regulatory environment at the local and federal level as it relates to green house gases and a panel discussion of what port authorities can do - or could be doing - to mitigate the effects of green house gases.
