Stephen Ribuffo of the Port of Alaska and Dr. Brian Pailes, P.E., NACE CP-3, of Vector Corrosion Services presented a webinar regarding corrosion issues and how they affect port facilities. Topics included a summary of corrosion issues at the Port of Alaska, a brief background on corrosion and cathodic protection methods, recent project examples of how corrosion mitigation is implemented at port facilities in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico region, and how various port facilities are managing their assets in a highly corrosive environment in an effective and efficient manner.
