Insurance Coverage Stemming from the COVID-19 Outbreak Webinar

May 4, 2020
Virtual Webinar

The revenue of Ports has been impacted severely by Covid-19. The cruise industry – major tenants of Ports - is shut down. World-wide shipping has been impacted by shut downs in other countries. This webinar held on May 4, 2020 and presented by Anderson Kill provided a comprehensive explanation of the insurance coverage opportunities and challenges in the quickly evolving environment that Ports operate in as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The webinar addressed various types of coverage that may be available under property insurance policies already purchased by Ports which insure against not only property damage but also economic loss as a result of supply chain disruption, government mandated closures and restrictions on the number of people who can gather or travel, and contamination at the policyholder’s own premises. Strategies for presenting coronavirus-related claims and pursuing coverage were also discussed.
